I studied at the University of Bologna, the oldest University in the world, graduating with a Masters Degree in Economics and Trade Marketing.
After three years experience as a Marketing Specialist for a large company in Italy, and after a six month trip around Australia in 2009, I decided it was time to use my skills and experience to evolve from a Gelato Lover to an international Gelato Master.
The first step of this transformation was to study at GelAteneo, the international Gelato school based in Bologna, Italy.
The course was taught by Giacomo Schiavon, owner of Bologna’s iconic and historically significant ‘La Sorbetteria Castiglione’.
In 2013, with the help of a friend, I opened my very first Gelato parlour on the site of an old butcher’s shop in Bologna. Fittingly, we named it ‘La Macelleria’.
I have since become the official Brand Ambassador and Gelato Teacher for Iceteam1927 (the oldest gelato machines manufacturer wirh the brand Cattabriga) in Australia and Asia, travelling more than 10 countries spreading “the Gelato culture”
In 2021 I launched my brand “Zini Contemporary Gelateria” and opened the 1st store in Sydney CBD, few minutes walk from the Opera House, in Circular Quay.
I believe Gelato will help make the world a better place.
Through passion, kindness and creativity in the way we present our Gelato, blended with local cultures and tastes, we can really make a difference and connect with people.
I'm not afraid to get creative with my flavours! From savory options like olive oil to sweet treats like blue vanilla or alcholic twist like Prosecco sorbet, my creations are always unique and exciting and take inspirations from my travel around the world.
Many Gelato / ice cream businesses failed as they haven’t adapt to the local taste and culture. I can develop menu and recipes based on the target Country.

I love sharing my know how and see you become a successful Gelato Chef and business person. I customise consulting 1 to 1 based on your needs and your idea. From basic Gelato course to more advanced, using different machines, you will also learn how to formulate your own recipes. I also give support with business planning and marketing (in the end my master degree became handy).
